As a dedicated art therapist and lifelong artist, my work is driven by a deep passion for helping individuals unlock their creative potential. I view art not only as a channel for expression, but as a powerful pathway to self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal growth. Through my teachings, I share practical, hard-earned “artist secrets” that build confidence and encourage each person to embrace their unique creative voice. Witnessing the transformation that occurs as people explore the world of art-making continues to inspire me, and I remain committed to empowering others to cultivate their creativity and awaken the artist within.

I started my life as an Air Force dependent and my father served in the military for 23 years. I grew up moving every few years and understand the challenges and benefits to starting over. I’ve had the benefit of living in and experiencing many different cultures and making friends all over the globe. In my lifetime, I have experienced desegregation and really know what prejudice feels like. I have spent time as a single mom and understand society’s demands on single parents, juggling parenting, work, and school. I have experienced the loss of loved ones. I’ve experienced both victory and disappointment.
I have attended many religious institutions and am able to customize my approach to individual preferences.

As a counselor, I have worked in schools, community-based mental health clinics and residential treatment facilities. I did an internship in an acute mental health hospital unit and another at a domestic violence shelter.
